Thematic Line Coordinator – Luís Miguel Madeira

The Chemical Industry thematic line is focused on fundamental but mostly applied R&D directed to the industry.  We are strongly engaged in the development of sustainable processes and products with focus on decarbonization.  Our expertise covers several areas, including reaction and separation processes, process intensification, fluids, rheology and mixing, or process analyses, modelling and optimization. Our research will empower a more sustainable and efficient production of chemicals, as well as a more effective design and production of novel products. Results of this work will help in decision-making in the chemical industry, bringing processes efficiency and sustainability to an improved level.
