Objectives
This thematic group focuses on supramolecular chemistry to develop micro/nanostructures with unique features, dimensions, physical and chemical properties at the micro-nano scale, to be applied for high-performance products. Current research is oriented toward health, food, and energy applications.Major research topics
Novel nano-delivery systems for encapsulation of active compounds/drugs into nanoparticles for the treatment of neurological diseases and cancer
Development of micro/nanostructures (microparticles, nano/microfibers and films) of active and natural compounds to improve food, cosmetic and health products
Development of crystallization processes, including continuous crystallization of active pharmaceutical ingredients, biomaterials synthesis, and protein crystallization and purification
Continuous processes for industrial production of nano- and microparticulate materials using structured reactors, in particular oscillatory flow reactors and NETmix technologies
