ALiCE present at University of Porto Mostra 2025

ALiCE researchers were present at MOSTRA UP 2025, that took place on March 6 - 19, at Multiusos de Gondomar. Organized by the University of Porto, this initiative is directed mainly at elementary and high school students who can find out more about the University of Porto's training offer. University of Porto fair intends to be more than a space for vocational guidance, as it seeks to involve the whole community and foster lifelong learning.
 
ALiCE stand counted with 3 hands-on activities: Perfumes: the charm of fragrances (ALiCE/LSRE-LCM); Slime: an example of polymeric cross-linking (ALiCE/LEPABE) and A salt to produce Hydrogen off-grid (ALiCE/CEFT). Despite the more interactive activities, this year we had also the opportunity to do the exhibition of 3 experimental set-ups in development in our laboratories: Capturing and storing ambient light (ALiCE/LEPABE); Portable photocatalytic device for blood oxygenation (ALiCE/LSRE-LCM); Passive Direct Alcohol Fuel Cell (pDAFC) (ALiCE/CEFT).
