ALiCE present at PINT OF SCIENCE PORTO 2024

The event PINT OF SCIENCE PORTO 2024 took place in Porto, from 13th to 15th of May. This year’s edition organizing team counted with some ALiCE researchers, namely Cláudio Rocha (ALiCE/LEPABE) and Leonor Barrocas (ALiCE/LSRE-LCM). This event aims to disseminate science in an accessible and engaging way to society.
Four ALiCE researchers were invited to participate in the event. Under the topic “Charging the Future: Fuel and Energy Innovations”, Daniela Falcão (ALiCE/CEFT) and Luísa Andrade (ALiCE/LEPABE) spoke about their research in “Hydrogen: the energy vector of the future?” and “The fate of end-of-life lithium batteries”, respectively. 
On another topic, “Living Tissues, Processed Foods: The BioEngineering Revolution”, Sandra Gomes (ALiCE/LEPABE) spoke about “Moringa oleifera: from the tree of life to superfoods” and Isabel Martins (ALiCE/LSRE-LCM) presented her work on “Valorization of natural products and agri-food waste”.
