Prof. Francisco Galindo Rosales, researcher from the Chemical Industry thematic line of ALiCE and from CEFT – Transport Phenomena Research Center, was recently nominated President of the Portuguese Society of Rheology (SPR). Other researchers from CEFT/ALiCE are part of the elected list: Laura Deaño, as vice-president; Célio Fernandes, as President of the general meeting council, Alexandre Afonso, as second secretary and Fernando Tavares de Pinho, as representative.
The Portuguese Society of Rheology (Sociedade Portuguesa de Reologia) is a non-profit technical scientific and cultural association founded in 1997 to bring together individuals, both from the academic and industrial fields, as well as organisations with mutual interests on the science of flow and deformation of materials, to promote and propagate rheology within the national scientific community, to improve the dissemination of knowledge on the field, and to facilitate and develop international collaboration with partners having similar purposes.
