ALiCE PhD student is member of the Early Career Board of JCED

Pedro Velho, PhD student of ALiCE/LSRE-LCM under the supervision of Prof. Eugénia Macedo, is one of the 5 nominees to integrate the editorial board of the renowned “Journal of Chemical & Engineering Data”, from ACS Publications. Early Career Board (ECB) members will provide guidance to JCED’s Editorial Team and help the Journal stay at the forefront of the field and serve the thermophysical properties community. His current research interests are liquid–liquid extraction of biomolecules, thermodynamic modelling of electrolytes, and synthesis/characterization of green novel solvents.

This is an important distinction for ALiCE, to have a young researcher in a relevant position, which highlights the work done at our facilities, especially wihin the Chemical Engineering Thermodynamics group.
