José Luís Figueiredo, Emeritus Professor of FEUP and member of ALICE was this week's guest of the "Ciência com Impacto" Project.

Here, he talks about the role of catalysis in chemical reactions. In the quest for more sustainable technologies, he has developed the application of carbon materials as catalysts in the fields of water treatment, energy storage and conversion, and production of platform chemicals and fuels from biomass.
