PROFILE
Arminda Alves obtained the PhD in Chemical Engineering in 1992. Since 2014 she is Full Professor at the Department of Chemical Engineering. Presently she is Director of the Research Unit - LEPABE - Laboratory of Process Engineering, Environment, Energy and Biotechnology, Director of the Doctoral Program in Environmental Engineering (FEUP) and Director of the ALICE - Associate Laboratory in Chemical Engineering, a consortium of the three main research centers in chemical engineering in Portugal (LEPABE, CEFT and LSRE-LCM), with more than 400 researchers.  Her research field is in the area of environmental engineering - monitoring and risk evaluation of emergent compounds and in the food safety, using chromatographic techniques of high resolution.
